’Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house,

There was clutter and chaos (and stress, not a mouse).

If the holidays feel heavy and peace feels out of reach,

These three gentle organizing tips are what I often teach:

 1. Choose “Calm” Over Perfect

’Twas the night before Christmas, expectations ran high—

But perfection, dear friends, is a goal we can pry

From our grip and replace with a simpler embrace:

Decide what is good enough and move at your pace.

This close to Christmas, clarity brings calm.

Choose one priority for your home, your plans, and your energy—and let the rest go.

2. Create a Simple Holiday Command Center

Lists, plans, and receipts were all scattered about—

No wonder the stress had begun to break out!

Choose one cozy place where the details can land,

A basket, a tray, or a folder at hand.

Keeping everything in one spot means less mental juggling and more presence with the people you love.

You can organize the papers/receipts after the holidays.

3. Reset One Space Before Heading to Bed

Before visions of sugarplums dance in your head,

Reset just one space—yes, just one—then stop instead.

A counter, a table, the spot by the door,

15 minutes is plenty; you don’t need much more.

I call this my “15 minutes to freedom”

Waking up to even one calm space can change the entire tone of your day.

A Gentle Holiday Reminder

Organization during the holidays isn’t about impressing—it’s about supporting how you want to feel.

Calm doesn’t come from doing more; it comes from making intentional choices that honor your time and energy.

If the season ever feels overwhelming, you don’t have to navigate it alone. A little support—whether now or in the quieter weeks ahead—can make all the difference.

Wishing you a peaceful, present, and beautifully imperfect holiday season. 🎄
